Hi there! I’m Jenn Styx, a Safety Director by day, and an adventurous traveler anytime else. I have always liked journaling about our trips, but it’s mostly to help me remember the experience. For years my friends have said that I should start a blog and share my weird and funny experiences with the world. So, here I am, taking that leap!

I live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with my husband, Josh, and our three dogs (Comet (black), Eva (grey/brown) and Atlas (Black/White). I travel about 50% of my schedule for work, all over the US and we try to take at least two larger international trips per year. I spend a lot of time in airports, airplanes, hotels, and rental cars. Plus, in the spring and fall, we take our camper and side-by-side out almost every weekend. Camping, hiking, kayaking, side-by-side adventuring, safety, general travel, some shenanigans, and making memories is what you will find here. Anywho, this is my website. I hope you enjoy it.

10 Days in Europe – Spring 2023 (Mostly Switzerland, but some France, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy, and a smidge of Germany).
The magic word of this trip is: pivot. *Cue Ross Gellar screaming PIVOT. Relying on public transport comes with its own challenges. We either just missed the train or bus by 2 minutes, or we had 30+ to wait. We knew there would be challenges for this trip. I think we learned where the holes in our research were and what to change for the next trip. We honed our pivot ability and worked our change management skills. That’s the thing; we are always learning, adapting, and constantly trying new things to better our travels. Before this, we had only used public transportation to get around cities for a day or two. We hadn’t relied on it for everything. That tried our patience a time or two, but we eventually learned to cope with it as a part of life. I love the way we travel, that will probably never change. Ten days, four countries, only one suitcase each and a ton of planning.
